14th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Draws to a Close

Ebrahim K. Kanoo, the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the end of the 14th edition of the “Toyota Dream Car Art Contest” for 2020.

The international platform where budding young artists are encouraged to unleash their creative imagination and help shape the future of mobility was launched in November, and saw a large number of creative submissions from across the kingdom.

Renowned local Bahraini artists, Abbas Al Mosawi and Areej Rajab supported this year’s edition of the contest and provided inspiring tips and techniques to the participants virtually. The duo visited the Toyota showroom in Sitra to join fellow contest judge, Ebrahim K. Kanoo Director Khaled Fuad Kanoo, who thanked them for their valuable partnership. The judging panel has begun shortlisting the winning entries from the three categories; under 7 years, 8-11 years old and 12-15 years old, with each category having three winners and cash prizes for all winning entries ranging from BD100 to BD250.

Mr. Khaled Fuad Kanoo reflected on this year’s edition commenting, “Despite the challenges this year brought to the contest, we have received many interesting and creative artworks from children all over Bahrain. We are delighted with the response this year and are happy to have played a part in bringing joy to the nation’s youth and hopefully igniting their creative talents.”

The winners will be announced at a later date, and the winning submissions will advance to the regional Toyota Dream Car Art Contest in 2021. Winners of the regional contest advance to the ‘World Contest’ to be held in Japan later next year.
