Ebrahim K. Kanoo Celebrates Bahraini Body and Paint Apprenticeship Program Students

Keeping in line with the company’s corporate responsibility dedicated to strengthening its partnership with the society, Ebrahim K. Kanoo recently held a graduation ceremony for Bahraini students who have successfully completed the ‘Body and Paint Apprenticeship Program’, which was developed in cooperation with the Al Jabriya Technical School.

One of a number of educational programs developed by Ebrahim K. Kanoo, the ‘Body and Paint Apprenticeship Program’ aims to enhance the skillset of Bahraini students and greatly improve their employability in the growing automotive industry. The two-year program was created in cooperation with the Al Jabriya Secondary Technical School and consists of both theoretical and practical aspects which were held at the Ebrahim K. Kanoo Training Centre.

The program reflects the company’s vision to nurture local talents  as stated by Ebrahim K. Kanoo Managing Director, Mr. Talal Kanoo, “Our Company takes great pride in being a solid part of the Bahraini society and we will continue to invest in the youth of the nation by sharing our knowledge and industry best practice. We are honoured to have contributed in developing  the body and paint repair curriculum in the national public technical schools, and these bright Bahrainis are a direct result of the efforts and support of the Ministry of Education and Ebrahim K. Kanoo.”                                                                                                                                                             

Graduate Mujtaba Darwish expressed his excitement about the program stating, “I feel very fortunate to be part of this body and paint repair program, which has given me important practical knowledge and up to date technical training on the latest technologies used in the global automotive industry.”

The program coordinator for the ‘Body and Paint Apprenticeship Program’ at Al Jaberiya school technical teacher, Mr. Fadhel Sahlan also commented, “The direct influence of Ebrahim K. Kanoo, the biggest automotive company in Bahrain, on the education of these youth is the best way to provide students with relevant and current knowledge of the field. This investment into their education greatly increases their employability in the market, creating a new generation of highly educated and skilled Bahrainis.”
