Ebrahim K. Kanoo Participates in INJAZ Innovation Camp

A team of eight employees from different business divisions of Ebrahim K. Kanoo volunteered for Innovation Camp (ICamp), INJAZ Bahrain’s largest one-day workshop that was held at the Al-Istiqlal Secondary Girls School in Muharraq.

ICamp is an exciting workshop for secondary and university level students that motivates them to find the most innovative solution to a business challenge applying critical thinking, teamwork, communication and leadership skills.

Over 100 final year high school students (Tawjeehi) participated in the event; each team was required to create an app to address issues faced by students. The teams that achieved first and second places were led by EKK's marketing department respectively. The winning team was led by Ahmed M. Zainal whose team conceptualised an app that would be run by students to enable fellow students to access past projects and homework assignments, as well as provide an inventory of school supplies that could be delivered to their home.

The volunteers were appreciated by Ebrahim K. Kanoo Managing Director, Mr. Talal F. Kanoo who commended their spirit of knowledge sharing, which falls in line with the company’s commitment to supporting the youth of Bahrain. “Ebrahim K. Kanoo is committed to its partnership with Injaz Bahrain which plays a vital role in building the skillset of Bahrain’s youth through its various educational programs. We take pride in the development of the future generation, helping them to navigate the corporate world and explore their interest and potential,” stated Mr. Kanoo.

INJAZ Bahrain is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 as part of Junior Achievement Worldwide with the aim of empowering young people to own their economic success and be prepared for today's business challenges. With the help of its partners and volunteers, INJAZ Bahrain impacts thousands of students every year, bringing them closer to the real world and opening their minds to their own potential. Ebrahim K. Kanoo became an official patron of the organisation in 2017.
