Ebrahim K. Kanoo awards winners of 11th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest

Ebrahim K. Kanoo, sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the 15 winners of the 11th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest at a ceremony at Toyota Plaza in Tubli. The youngsters received cash prizes and certificates of participation in the presence of their parents, fellow students, and representatives of the participating schools.

This year's nationwide contest, held from 8th January to 28th February, judged artworks, which were submitted by children from the three age categories (Under 8, 8 to 11, and 12 to 15 years old) participated in a XXX. Five winners were announced from each category, who will now go on to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain at the World Contest, one of the largest global art contests for children, to be held in Japan later this year.

Ebrahim K. Kanoo Senior Manager of Toyota Marketing, Ayman Shehadeh said: "It's always a pleasure to see talent blossom at such a young age. This contest encouraged thousands of young students in Bahrain to become creative and share their best ideas over the years. We wish the Bahrain winners success in the global event."

Launched in 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contested has been conducted as part of Toyota's social contribution initiatives, receiving more than 855,000 entries from approximately 81 countries and regions around the globe in 2016.

The winners were:

Under 8 years: Sasha Jicku, Sandrasyam Syamkumar, Mariam Sayed Dheyakhalaf, Jassim Mohammed Alsammak and Maria Nawaf Zaman.

Eight to 11 years: Jacob Jicku Kallamparambil, Shagun Ashish Modi, Sagarika Suman Das, Joaqui Matthew Fajardo Reantaso and Raina Shaju Thannadan

Twelve to 15 years: Jhody Amber Jacobe Mendoza, Chime Jeruta Rosaldes, Srevin Saju, Jasmine Arabella Ramos Banhaon and Buddhima Lihini Wijesekara.
