Ebrahim K. Kanoo launches [2nd] Toyota Technical Education Programme

Held under the patronage of HE Minister of Education, Dr Majid bin Ali Al-Naimi, the event is part of a global Toyota Motor Company (TMC) initiative aimed at recruiting young local talent from vocational schools and educational outlets worldwide and inducting them into the Toyota network. The donation included textbooks, used car panels and bumpers, spray guns and a Lexus IS250 training vehicle, all of which will be used to provide hands-on training for students looking to pursue a career in the automotive industry.

Ebrahim K. Kanoo Director of Corporate Services, Mr. Talal Kanoo said: “It is part of Toyota’s mandate to encourage local talent and give back to the communities it is present in. TTEP aims to create long-term change by improving local skill sets and providing a platform for future generations to hone their abilities. We strive to build an educated, more effective workforce that will elevate the automotive industry locally and globally.”

The ceremony was attended by Toyota Motor Corporation – Bahrain Representative Office (TMC–BRO) General Manager, Yoshiyuki Koike, HE Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Naimi, Ministry of Education Undersecretary, Latifa Al-Bonoudha, Director of Technical Education, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Razzaq Al Siddiqi, and Director of Corporate Services at Ebrahim K. Kanoo Mr. Talal Kanoo, Director at Ebrahim K. Kanoo Mr. Waleed Kanoo , Operations Manager at Ebrahim K. Kanoo Mr. Khaled Kanoo and Ebrahim K. Kanoo’s management team and School Headmaster, Mr. Sayed Redha Alawi along with Al Jabriya staff members were also in attendance.

Al Jabriya Technical School Body & Paint Section is the second registered TTEP School in Bahrain, with Bahrain Training Institute (BTI) officially registered since 1998 as the first institute to implement Toyota’s global initiative.
