Ebrahim K. Kanoo Concludes ‘Industry Immersion Program’ for Teachers

Ebrahim K. Kanoo has successfully completed an intensive vehicles mechanical technology training program for technical trainers of the Bahrain Training Institute (BTI). The program was created by the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Company in cooperation with Toyota as part of the Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP).

The intensive five day program focused on diagnosis and engine control, paying special attention to standardized operating procedures, best practice in diagnosis and a detailed guide to handling repair manuals and Global Tec Stream (GTS); an exclusive Toyota software used globally by all official partners.

Head of Talent management at Ebrahim K. Kanoo; Dr. John Mathew highlighted the importance of the training program and the importance of continually training trainers, commenting; “The Industry Immersion program is a strategically developed program which will help the technical trainers advance and upgrade their knowledge in order to make in school curriculum as efficient and relevant as possible to future students. Ebrahim K. Kanoo has always been a keen advocate of knowledge sharing and we are lucky to have our own local as well as international Toyota experts to support these educational endeavors. We will continue to invest in the educational sector and help improve the employability of young Bahrainis as they enter the job market.” 

The Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) program is a Toyota Motor Corporation initiative and is performed in over 50 countries, supporting more than 450 schools and vocational institutes worldwide. It is an effort by Toyota to develop and train skilled technicians and offer learning and employment opportunities in the auto sector.
